About Nicole Palazzo
Nicole
Palazzo has over 20 years experience with horses, including being
a successful competitor and coach in a variety of arenas. Nicole
showed as a junior rider in the hunters and equitation, then progressed
to the jumpers. As a junior rider she had the opportunity to re-school
many young and problem horses under the direction of her trainer.
Nicole also competed in the children's jumpers and junior jumpers
before attending Berry College in Rome, GA. At Berry, she competed
with the Berry College Equestrian Team and continued to develop
her skills in training horses. She qualified and won at Regional
and Zone finals, as well as IHSA nationals, while competing for
Berry. Nicole graduated from Berry with a degree in Animal Science
and a minor in Equine Science.
Nicole relocated to the Augusta area with her husband, Anthony,
shortly after graduating from Berry. While living in Augusta, Nicole
founded a riding program at a local stable. When her husband's career
found them back in Rome, Georgia, Nicole worked as a trainer with
Karen Kerby at Pleasant Hill in Alpharetta, GA. There she rode,
trained and traveled to shows with Pleasant Hill for several years
before returning to the Augusta area. After teaching locally for
approximately two years, Nicole and Anthony founded Quiet Haven
Stables in 2005.
